In 2019's Lisbon, the idea of small plates to share alongside natural wines was still quietly emerging. That changed with the opening of VDB Bistronomie in August of that year. Founded by a mother and her son, arriving from Paris where this culture was already alive and thriving, VDB was built on a simple intention: to offer a refined culinary experience in the most effortless setting. A place where you can feel at ease, while enjoying food held to the standards of gastronomy.
VDB is about sharing. Plates moving across the table, glasses being poured, conversations unfolding. It is fresh wines, thoughtful dishes, and a rhythm that feels both vibrant and unpretentious.
