VDB Bistronomie is a chef-driven restaurant in Lisbon built around precision, instinct, and restraint. The food is bistronomic — technically rigorous, emotionally direct. We were brought in to translate that energy into a visual language the restaurant could own.
The brief: no stock, no styling, no artifice. Document the real kitchen — the heat, the hands, the focus — and make it feel like the place it is.

Every image in this series was captured during a live dinner service — no re-plating, no second takes. The constraint was the point. The photographs needed to carry the same urgency the food arrives with.
Volet provided a full content library covering kitchen reportage, plated dish photography, and team portraiture — distributed across Instagram, print menus, and press.
